Beverage and Food Transport – ATP Refrigerated Transports and Bulk Logistics

Speed Logistics runs beverages and food with ATP refrigerated vehicles and HACCP-/IFS-oriented processes – from the fresh pallet in a refrigerated van to a full truckload of beverages in a 40-tonne rig, also as bulk and big bags with a cleaning certificate for goods-in.

Stacked sea containers at the terminal

Food logistics allows no compromises: the cold chain must be unbroken, hygiene documented and the delivery date at the central warehouse met exactly. Speed Logistics runs beverage and food transports with ATP refrigerated vehicles and HACCP-compliant processes – from the single fresh pallet in a refrigerated van to a full truckload of beverages in a 40-tonne rig.

Manufacturers, bottlers and retail companies receive a fixed-price quote from us within a few hours, live GPS tracking on every trip and a personal 24/7 dispatch team – including for short-notice additional volumes in season.

Refrigerated and frozen transports to ATP

Temperature-controlled goods travel in vehicles to the ATP standard that hold and record the required range throughout – fresh logistics as well as frozen goods. The cold chain stays closed from the sender's dock to handover; we provide the temperature log to your quality assurance on request. Our processes are aligned with HACCP and the requirements of IFS-audited shippers: clean, odour-neutral load compartments, documented handovers, no impermissible mixed loads.

Beverage logistics: heavy pallets, tight deadlines

Beverages are heavy, palletised and time-critical – especially before public holidays and in the summer season. We run full and part loads from the bottling plant to central warehouses, beverage wholesalers and hospitality, keep the time-slot and pre-notification requirements of the retail warehouses and provide vehicles with the right payload. During sales peaks we secure additional capacity for you before the spot market becomes tight and expensive.

Bulk, big bags and loose goods

For raw materials of the food industry – such as grain products, sugar or additives – we also transport big bags and loose bulk goods with suitable equipment, up to the silo-truck option. Food-grade, cleaned load compartments and the associated cleaning certificates are standard here, so your goods-in can release the batch without queries.

Part load, full truckload and fixed lanes

Not every shipment fills an articulated truck. We run part loads from a single pallet as a direct service with no hub transhipment – important for sensitive or temperature-controlled goods that suffer in groupage networks. Full truckloads we dispatch with the right payload and loading technology, from the standard curtain-sider for beverage pallets to the refrigerated box when fresh goods are involved. Promotional goods for retail, such as displays and seasonal packs, we also deliver on time for the promotion launch.

For recurring services – the weekly supply of a central warehouse or the line supply of several production sites – we set up fixed lanes: the same departure times, well-drilled drivers, conditions fixed in advance. Seasonal extra volumes dock onto these lanes without you having to re-tender. This makes freight costs plannable and reduces the coordination effort in day-to-day business to a minimum.

Express, season and non-EU countries

If an ingredient is missing in production or a shelf threatens to run empty, we run express direct transports with no transhipment – at night and at weekends too. For exports to non-EU countries such as Türkiye, North Africa or the Gulf region we handle the complete customs clearance from EXW to DDP including the export declaration and veterinary or goods-accompanying documents as required by the receiving country. Your fixed price covers loading, CMR insurance and live tracking. We check the document requirements of the target markets before submitting the quote, so the shipment isn't held at the border; your contact in the dispatch team stays the same throughout the transit time.

Frequently asked questions: Beverage & Food Transport

Which temperature classes does the food transport cover?

We run temperature-controlled transports to the ATP standard – from fresh chilling for dairy, meat and convenience products to frozen logistics. The vehicle holds and documents the agreed set range throughout; you receive the temperature log on request as evidence for your quality assurance and your customers.

Are the processes HACCP- and IFS-capable?

Our processes are aligned with HACCP and the requirements of IFS-audited shippers: clean, odour-neutral and documented load compartments, a closed cold chain, traceable handovers and no impermissible mixed loads. The evidence needed for your audit – such as temperature logs and cleaning certificates – we provide per shipment.

Does Speed Logistics also run loose goods and big bags?

Yes. For raw materials such as grain products, sugar or additives we transport big bags and loose bulk goods with suitable equipment, up to the silo-truck option. Food-grade, cleaned load compartments with a cleaning certificate are standard, so your goods-in can release the batch without complaint. The silo-truck option is especially suited to regular plant services.

How do I secure transport capacity for seasonal peaks in beverages?

Best with lead time: before public holidays and in the summer season, load space becomes scarce and the spot market expensive. If you agree planned volumes with us early, we reserve vehicles with the right payload, stagger departures to match your sales and fix the conditions in advance as a fixed price.

Does Speed Logistics keep the time slots of the retail central warehouses?

Yes. We handle pre-notification and slot booking in the time-slot systems of the retail warehouses, plan the route with a realistic buffer for the booked date and deliver with complete paperwork. In the event of delays the dispatch team informs you proactively and rebooks – this avoids rejected deliveries and demurrage.

Does Speed Logistics handle food exports to non-EU countries?

Yes. For exports to Türkiye, North Africa or the Gulf region we handle the complete customs clearance from EXW to DDP – including the export declaration, T1 transit procedure and the goods-accompanying and veterinary documents required by the receiving country. Temperature-controlled goods travel throughout in the closed cold chain.

Which mistakes jeopardise the cold chain and goods-in release?

Critical ones are an undocumented previous load with no cleaning certificate, a cold chain broken during transhipment and a missed time slot at the retail warehouse. Speed Logistics uses cleaned ATP load compartments with a cleaning certificate, runs temperature-controlled with no transhipment and keeps pre-notification and slot requirements – so goods-in releases the batch without queries.

Why secure beverage capacity early before seasonal peaks?

Beverages are heavy, palletised and time-critical – especially before public holidays and in the summer season, when everyone is looking for the same load space. Those who agree sales peaks with us early receive reserved capacity at fixed conditions before the spot market becomes tight and expensive, and avoid supply gaps in retail.
